“You are what your deepest desire is. As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.” -the Upanishads
Every creation on earth; from a skyscraper, to a poem to a chocolate chip cookie begins as a thought. Acting to move from thought to creation comes from our intention to make thoughts become things. Look around you at all the object you see-they all existed in the mind until someone moved on the idea and manifest it to become tangible. Intentions are our desires, thoughts and wishes and successful people start by deliberately stating and writing down their intentions.
Setting intentions is a powerful process that we use to create our lives and live with grace. Nothing can stand in the way of our intentions to BE, FEEL OR DO what we intend. A daily practice that I highly recommend is responding to the phrase, TODAY I WILL….” I then make list of how I feel, how I want to be in the world and what I want to do or accomplish for the day. Additionally, I write down who and what I am grateful for, what I need to let go of, and what I hope to attract. I read these intentions over during the day as a reminder to focus my actions toward manifesting them in my life.
Spending part of the morning setting intentions clears a path through the noise, congestion, and distractions of life, and gives me a sense that I am truly the creator of my life and my world. Devoid of intentions, the world and other people take over and create my reality for me.
I recommend that you live with intentionality and create your life on your terms.
